FINAL PROJECT CATIA

Assalamualaikum...


Of course for this entry should be about final project of catia. Yes, my project was successfully completed BUT this is not my great work for this software. I'm a bit dissapointed for this project :( I hope I can A for this subject like I got A in SOLIDWORK in Semester 2. Alright, I'll explain about my project. For this project, we need to use three work bench which are Part Design, Sketch Tracer & Imagine and Shape. There bit difficult when i;m using Skecth Tracer and Imagine and Shape. I'll show the process in pictures during creating this final project.

First step : Insert a picture of car. (front,side,top and back)

After insert a 3D curve, all the curves have to sweep.

After done with this part, we can mirror all of this by using symmetry.

This car is done by Sketch Tracer and it is how to change body colour of the car. Here.

How to choose a colour for this car.

This tyre was created by Imagine and Shape. The steps are same with my previous Doraemon. So, you have a look here.

Start > Imagine and Shape > Sphere > Face Subdivision > Extrusion > Invert Extrusion

For the side mirror, I was created by using Part Design

Make sure the lines are connecting each other.

Side mirror is done! After done the above step, please exit sketch and use  a pad tool and then edge fillet!

Lamp. I was used a Part Design to create this. The step is same as create the side mirror.

This is how to render this car. We can choose any environment that we need because that is provided for us in this software. No need to transfer to photoshop. :)

So, this is my final project for catia. Thankful to Allah because without Him, we cant go smoothly for completed yhis project. Thanks to En Noordin Asimi, my lecture for advance CAD for this sem. I hope I can improve for my next project in next sem. And for all my friends, thank you very much! :)

FINAL PROJECT FOR CATIA

Today, I want update my blog about my final project for subject ADVANCED CAD. Fuhh!, it is tough ok. My classmate and I were agreed that TRANSPORT will be our theme for final project. This assignment can do individually or grouping. But, i choose individually. After a week, i got an idea to do my final project. I've choose a car. VOLKSWAGEN JETTA. But, not a new one. The old one.

I will try my BEST to do this car. I've must insert 3 thing that I've learned for this semester which are Part Design, Assembly Design and Imagine & Shape.

~Imagine and Shape~

Assalamualaikum...

After sketch tracer exercise last month, this month i created a cartoon, DORAEMON by using IMAGINE AND SHAPE a.k.a IMA in catia. My classmates and I have to complete this assignment and everyone have their own cartoon to create. I've tried to do this cartoon. It is a little bit different with the real picture. I'm sure this cartoon looks funny. hehehe. It's ok because i'm still studying about this. I hope I can improve my skill better than now.

First step : We need a reference picture.

Second Step : Start your catia with IMAGINE AND SHAPE

 
Third Step : Starting with his head. Choose a sphere shape in creation toolbar. You can adjust the size of sphere by 'Tools Palette' toolbar > Affinity/Rotation

 

Fourth Step : For his eyes, you can choose sphere shape and you have to changed their shape by using affinity and rotation. You also can apply a colour on the part. Choose a part then right click > properties > choose a colour > apply > ok

Fifth Step : You can copy/duplicate his eyes by using 'Symmetry'

Sixth Step : Create a whiskers and mouth. (I'm sorry about his mouth, actually his smile should be smile)

 

Seventh Step :  Create his body, arms, legs, pocket & ring at his neck. This step same with the steps above.

Eighth Step : DORAEMON is done!

Berjalan sjauh 3km, akhirnya smpai kt tmpat kteorg nk strt ekspidisi,..masuk hutan nk kate tebal xsgt & nk kte xtebal pun xsgt,..(pham x ape yg aku tulis tu??hihi),.sampai kt destinasi utk berehat, tepi sungai yg cantik,.kt situ kteorg diajar mcm mane cara lau nk hidup dlm hutan, mksudnye lau trsesat dlm hutan berhari2,.kteorg ditugaskn utk mask nsi dlm buluh, msak meggi dalm buluh, ayam bakar, air, & roti lilit,..

yg dlm buluh tu, ad mggi, yg buluh kt tpi tu msak nasi, & satu lagi tu ayam,..

Pernah mkn ROTI LILIT??,,sedapp!!,..rase cam lempeng yg wat kat uma  tu,..ni gamba roti lilit,..

Ni dy tapak kaki pak belang yg kteorg jumpe,..

**Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application **

CATIA is a multi-platform CAD/CAM/CAE commercial software suite developed by the French company Dassault Systemes. Written in the C++ programming language, CATIA is the cornerstone of the Dassault Systemes product lifecycle management software suite. CATIA competes in the high-end CAD/CAM/CAE market with Siemens NX.

I've learned in my class, advanced CAD about Part Design, Assembly Design, and how to use sketch tracer and freestyle. I will show how to create a car hood using a sketch tracer by CATIA.

First step : Insert  images ( front view, side view & top view )

 Second step : After  inserted the images, follow the step in this picture.

Third step : Press 'ALT F5'

 Please thick icon 'Flip to WU or ZX' and 'Most Seen Plane'

Fourth step : Insert a line by using 3D curve.

Fifth step : After finished insert the lines, please select 'Styling Sweep'.

Sixth step : Repeat step 4 and 5 for the other portion of the car hood. 

Last step : A car hood is done!
